Imagine for a bit with me.

A race of humans with no vocal chords. Except that the part of their brain that transmits on a frequency also transmits thoughts. They look like us, but they communicate through transmission of thoughts. They are called the Fremen.

In the Expanded Psionics Handbook we were introduced to the Elans. This race opened up the idea that there could be a psionic race of humans on Greyhawk (and incidentally, Athas of Dark Sun). However, what I'm proposing is a realistic race that communicates telepathically because they lack vocal chords. They would be based in the Far West, a little east of the Draconic Imperium of Lynn and the Republic of Ishtar.

Clearly, you are inspired and have ideas for the Fremen, so respectfully, I ask, "What do they bring to the table to enhance Greyhawk, and how will their presence impact the Flanaess?"

I look forward to your novel take on the Elans.

Fremen aren't mainly in the Flanaess. Though some could have made the trek across Oerik. But you will find out soon the answer to your question. I can't say why as of yet.
