S1 White Plume Mountain

Sorry to start another thread but . . .

I'm curious about White Plume Mountain, and Return to White Plume Mountain. Which of these do you recommend?

The last time I ran White Plume Mountain, I read through Return but preferred the original. I did incorporate a few of the changes from Return into my version of the original, but that was all I got from the newer version.

Thank you! I was thinking of ordering both from Drivethru.

I likewise incorporated later material when I ran S2. My encounter key is here, but you’ll need the original S2 map to run it.

Just in case you're not aware, they are completely different. It wasn't simply an update with new rules.

WoTC also released a 3.0 version as a PDF by Andy Collins, Gwendolyn F.M. Kestrel, and James Wyatt for the Weapons of Legacy book. It was 36 pages long and had a nice map by Rob Lazzaretti.
