Shameless Self-Promotion/The Last Fantasy Campaign

Hey all!

Didn't know where to put this, so, sorry if I am in the wrong place.

We at Blackmoor's "Canonfire", "The Comeback Inn", are running an epilogue/tribute game to the setting, pompously titledThe Last Fantasy Campaign (as counterpart to Dave Arneson's legendary First Fantasy Campaign).

I thought the last episode of our long-running PbP might be of interest to some of you, since it's very clear that it considers the legendary crossover of Mordenkainen's and Robilar's journey to the City of the Gods canon, and also will clearly build upon that to finish some of the many storylines left unfinished at good Mr Arneson's death last year.

Hope you enjoy this literary venture into the oldest of all D&D worlds! Smile

On a side note, what would you think of such an epilogue game for Greyhawk? - Not that I was anyway able to DM it, but maybe someone else with more thorough knowledge of WoG would be ambitious enough. Smile

All the best,

Rafe

Your question of a scenario to essentially wrap up the World of Greyhawk spurred me to begin another topic on the foretold disappearance of magic. The wiki has a timeline which cites back to the earlier Greyhawk campaign materials. In those materials, magic is described as disappearing by the 990's CY. Some adventure to prevent or encourage magic in the Oerth might be suitable. Perhaps if magic is not done away with, some horrible fate awaits the people of Oerth.

Just some idea for an epilogue - THOUGH MY GREYHAWK CAMPAIGN WON'T NEED AN EPILOGUE ANY TIME SOON!!

Uhm, Rafe is this the sort of thread that you would like me to stay away from? ;)

Sorry, we are experimenting a bit, trying to improve the boards. I think this is where the previous link was supposed to lead to:

(Note, this one is also subject to change. Hopefully things will stabilize in a few days, depending on my head admin) :)

I left this thread in the World of Greyhawk Discussion general forum for a while so it would be noticed, and because the General Online Play forum receives less traffic(though it receives more now that it has been additionally tasked to cater to Campaign Journals). Now that people have had a chance to become aware of the thread, it is off to the Campaign Journals & General Online Play.

Happy Posting! Happy
