I made this map for the fun.
The scale is the same for western Middle-Earth and estern Flanasess. So it matches well, don't you think ?
Does it inspire you ?

Holy hell! I can't believe I've never seen a mash up like this before. Yeah they seem to go extremely well together. Much better than the World Map we're given in Dragon. Keeping both setting's stories intact, I find it delicious that Mordor is in the Suel Empire's back yard or vice versa.

Hmmm. I'd say that the Baklunish Dry Steppes are more in Mordor's "backyard" -- along with Ull -- and that Haradwaith is in the Suel's Sea of Dust's "backyard" -- as the Sea of Dust lies south of the Sulhuat Mountains. Yes? 
Incidentally, that's more of Middle Earth's map than I ever seen before, with details of the southern lands. Thanks Galliskinmaufrius!

Well, the Middle-Earth maps come from I.C.E. products for the M.E.R.P. game.
Between M.-E. and the Flanaess lies a vast empty desert : home of nomads tribes.
If you include Numenor (Atlantis) in the western ocean, then you can imagine that Numenoreans have colonized the East using their ships. Maybe, the Suel Empire is an ancient colony of black Numenoreans.
Also, Tolkien, speaking about Istari (magicians), told the story of two wizards who went with Saroumane in the East (Flanaess). Only Saroumane came back in western M.-E. The other two, Alatar & Pallando, the blue wizards, never came back and remained in the East (founding empires or being corrupted by evil forces, whatever...).
What have those two blue magicians become ? Tenser & Philidor ?

Tolkien alluded to such happenings in The Silmarillion -- my favorite of his works. Never was really thrilled by hobbits.

As an aside, I think that Frodo was both "lucky," "fortunate" and completely "accidental" in his success and not by any means "heroic." Sam was much "stronger" and should have been the one to carry the ring, in my opinion.
Frodo may have had "heart," as in -- "a good heart." But in real life MANY of those "types" have "died in the attempt." Frodo should never have succeeded just because he had a "good heart." 
And that's why Tolkien's hobbits have never impressed me and have never been a favorite character class of mine. 
But, of course, the same cannot be said of a certain Hairfoot halfling, Assassin of Tharizdun, acquaintance of mine.

years ago when I was a wee lad and my brpther and I just started with the first edition AD&D, we had a map like that but it also included both Moorcok's world of Melnibone and Lieber's Newhon. What can I say,we were geeks.

Yes, black numenoreans indeed.
Other point of view : the blue wizards may have founded each one of the Empires : Suel and Baklunish. Alatar = Suel. Pallando = Baklunish.
