Word from Afghanistan

To all,

Greetings from Afghanistan!

I got to get away for a bit and use the MWR (Morale Welfare & Recreation)computer. Obviously, most recreational sites are blocked by the military, so I have not been on the web site in months. After talking to the family, I decided to use my remaining time to shoot off a message here.

One of the smart things I did before I deployed was download all the Oerth Journals on to my personal lap top, as well as the Dragon Magazine Archives. Between the two of them, I have been keeping myself entertained.

In looking over the site, I see a lot of the same stuff discussed in the forums and articles, which, as far as I am concerned, is a good thing. Keep it up all you 'Hawkers. Hopefully, I'll be back and contributing again in approximately 10 months!

We wish you well, Dave. I and my family are praying for you.

And as my old roommate (former Airborne Ranger) used to say: "Get some!"

Best wishes Dave! Look in as often as possible! Happy

As a former member of the 82nd Airborne (about the time that Bubbagump was in the sixth grade Evil Grin ) my prayers go with you and your fellow soldiers.

By all means "get some," as Bubbagump says, but make sure you come home. As my old Sargent used to say; "It's not your duty to die for your country, it's your duty to help the other poor s.o.b. to die for his." Shocked

Go get 'em buddy, but make sure you come home. Cool

You tread the ground that Alexander walked upon. Cool

Be well.

I am back!

To all,

I have returned. Just spending time with the family before the Army moves me again. Once we get resettled, I'll try to catch up here. Maybe even add a few more articles in the not so near future.
