Who was looking for published Satan stats? I can't find that thread.

I'm waiting for my AntiVirus to finish its full system scan by reading old "Dragon" magazines. I've made it from the beginning to issue 28. On page 40 is Satan. He's listed with Belial and Astaraoth in an article called "Politics of Hell."

MOVE: whatever is necessary
HIT DICE: 333 points (August 1979 doesn't seem to have HD and h.p. standardized yet)
TREASURE TYPE: H (x2), I (x2), U (x2)

SPECIAL ATTACKS: +3 or better weapon and purity of heart required to hit
MAGIC RESISTANCE: 95%

ALIGNMENT: Lawful evil

There are more details about the monster in the article but I don't think I should copy the whole section of the article here. The first paragraph of the article on page 2 indicates that it was written with AD&D in mind (with no mention of OD&D or Basic).

The topic came up HERE. That article was written for AD&D 1E rules, though there is no real need to delve into it further as it isn't the crux of the discussion in that thread.
