Sea Serpents: Real or Imagined?

Yet another one washes upon shore!

Great game fodder!

Did your players really see a Sea Serpent? Or did they just imagine it? Confused

Not that Sea Serpents aren't real, in the World of Greyhawk. Wink

M-S,

I have seen this as well, found it interesting and posted the news on my Zoology FB site for my high school students.

Oarfish are pretty cool. I also like the giant squid bodies that have lately been found - at least in part. Smile

In the waters between Turucambi Reef, the Sinking Isle, and the Jungle of Lost Ships lies a deepwater chasm, the Devils' Purse. Within these waters, the Leviathan lurks.

Various beasts have taken on the mantle of the Leviathan over the ages; a zaratan, a nautilus, and a kraken have all been seen in the Solnor over the Devils' Purse. Each was gargantuan in size and foul of temperament.

The creature known as the hydrimera recently ruled as Leviathan until his reign was usurped by the amphisbaena, a two-headed moray eel.
