Playtesters Needed

I find myself in need of playtesters for some 5th edition D&D material I'm writing up. If you're a DM with an established group, preferably playing in a World of Greyhawk campaign (but that's not necessary, as long as you can use WoG-centric stuff in your campaign), and are interested in playtesting some new player options including class options, spells, backgrounds, etc. please send an email to greyhawkgrognard@gmail.com.

You and your players will be asked to sign an NDA, and will receive regular updates with new material to try out.

Thanks in advance![/url]

So they're following through with independent writers after all?

No, this is completely being done independently. I'm betting that WotC will open up Greyhawk on DMsguild eventually, like they have with the Realms and Ravenloft. I'm investing a ton of time in writing this 5E material so I at least have it in the pipeline if and when Greyhawk becomes something that third parties can write for.

And if they never do, then I've got a ton of great material for my own campaign, and those of the playtest groups. :-)

This post on my blog outlines the project in a bit more detail:

I appreciate the direct link to the pertinent article. I read there, this:

"Will have information on history, politics, and economics; notable NPCs; settlements and natural features; . . . Would be written for 5E . . ."

Just out of curiosity -- since writing the "mechanics" is not my thing -- how do you make such background information Edition specific? Modules, yes, but background?

That refers, of course, to the parts that do have mechanics involved, NPCs in particular. Naturally, most of that sort of background material is system agnostic, but whatever needs to be statted, will be statted in 5E.

I thought that was the implication, but didn't want to assume. Thanks for the clarification.

I would have commented on the blog, but since it was several months ago, I thought I'd query you here, instead.
