Greyhawk now on DMs Guild

DMs Guild has now opened up Greyhawk to creators.

I did a quick video on the news:

Would be nice if they opened it up to all editions of D&D. sigh

I am very interested to see what gets posted on DMs Guild. I know there are some good writers and content out there. I hope some of the descriptions can be a little clearer about what the content is. I read one that was just posted for $15 and I need to know a bit more before I commit that kind of money. Hopefully there will be some good reviews of this material.

I understand stats need to be 5e. Does anyone think that will ever change to allow older editions?

What are the rules for the inclusion of artwork - original only or do they allow use of WoTC/TSR artwork?

Under these rules, would it be possible for someone to produce a large Greyhawk volume and partly includes WoTC text from Greyhawk products?

I doubt it. The point is to push the current version, to get more people into the walled garden.

You can't use TSR/WotC art or text. The content has to be original. They do have a large amount of free art that are specifically licensed to be used on DMs Guild, however (over 1600), and of course you can use other art if it's properly licensed, you did it, or it's public domain.

I actually did a video explaining my thinking when it came to doing the book:

And yes, this is a reworking of the free material that was available on the blog. It's been re-edited and added to, and reorganized (and of course updated to reflect the 2024 rather than 2014 rules).
