T1-4 factions explained

There's only one explanation for Falrinth, Lareth, Lolth, the elf in #326, and the cryptic references to a "demonic uprising" in ToEE and no one has ever spelled it out:

Looking for opportunities after her "sharp check" in GDQ, Lolth stepped into the power vacuum left by her rival Zuggtmoy's imprisonment. In the absence of both Iuz and Zugg, it was Lolth who revitalized the Temple under elemental evil auspices. As Iuz regained strength, Lolth's faction made a power grab with the "demonic uprising." Most were killed. Darley and a powerful magic user turned bodak were banished. The (drow) elf leader in 326 was assassinated, probably by one of the traders. Unknown the Greater Temple, the Lolth faction persists: Falrinth was corrupted by his familiar and found and hid the means to free Zuggtmoy. While reporting to Hedrack, he secretly serves Lolth and recruited Lareth.

Finally, while the Lesser Temple is in full disarray, a subtle tension also simmers between Iuz's henchmen (Hedrack and Barkinar) and Z's (Sennshock and the traders).
