Scarlet Psionics

Well, at last we have the official rules for the Monk published.

Given the new psionic focus for the monk, has anyone thought about if that will affect how they present the most famous bundle of monks on the Flanaess, the Scarlet Brotherhood?

I'm actually seeing the prospect of more hybridized or multiclass monks, who have some of the other psionic powers as strange, rare disciplines that specific SB Masters might teach.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I don't think it will be any harder to reconcile psionic monks than primal barbarian powers. Remember that monsters and npcs are not built like characters. 4e npc druids will be a mix of druid and warden. Brotherhood monk powers need not be given the same flavour as pc monks either. I've also noted that the Baklunish demi-god, Zuoken, has worked his way into core and I think it's true that 4e monks do seem more flavoured after Xan Yae and Zuoken, who have had psionic links since 1e.

As far as pc builds go, I agree that hybriding Brotherhood monks with rogues, rangers, assassins, and brawler fighters will produce some interesting combinations.
