Rain of Colourless Fire in MM3?

Link wasn't working but it looks like this is sneaking into 4e.

I've got my copy of MM3, and indeed, it's in there!

Then again, the Sea of Dust was in Primal Power. A few more things sneak in every book, it seems.

There's a lot of monsters in MM3 that make converting classic modules like the Drow series even easier - Lolth, Eclavdra, Imix, Ogremoch, and a fair amount about the Princes of Elemental Evil.

A bit strange, because Eclavdra was described in Underdark as being recently assassinated, and reformed as a lichlike creature dwelling in the necropolis quarter of Erelhei-Cinlu.

In Monster Manual 3, she's non-undead, as healthy as ever, and an exarch of Lolth. I prefer that version, but I thought 4e had more editorial consistency than that.

I really dig the new origins of xvarts (renamed xivarts because WotC likes vowels) and meazels (a human civilization transformed by a pact with Baalzebul).
