So, kind of off topic, but I have some questions about hosting and running a wiki. I'm an admin on the Pathfinder Wiki, and we're currently investigating other hosting solutions after Wikia's latest lapse of common sense. I'm not exactly clear on who hosts/runs The Great Library, but if they could contact me at aeakett(at)gmail(dot)com I'd appreciate it.
Not Wikipedia, Wikia. They're a big wiki farm that hosts a bunch of special interest wikis. They recently rolled out a new layout that is designed to drive traffic across their network and therefore increase ad impressions. Anyway, it's causing enough headaches (both literal and metaphorical) that we're looking into other options for hosting. There are other wiki farms out there , but we can't know that we wouldn't be in a similar predicament in a couple of years, and that's why I'm investigating hosting it ourselves.
