On a day and at an hour you do not think to be it, then shall Postfest be upon you! Will you be prepared?

Taken from the "Tome of the Dark Lord."

Perhaps you should begin your Article entry now, young scholar.

Mwahahahahahahaha!

I'd love to begin now, but the Postfests have specific topics, so it would be helpful to know the topic before beginning to write the article. Wink

Ha Mystic one!

Sir Xaris has dispelled your attempt to garner him into reveling his plans.

That's what you get for for trying to circumvent the issue.

Xaris had cut you with the Topic blade. Razz

I was going to use the previous Postfest topic vote runner-up as the next one, Forgotten/Hidden "Kingdoms of Oerth", but the topic is kind of...expansive, and probably beyond the scope of a simple article. If people really want that as the topic(i.e. *THEY* will take part in writing something for it, not just sit on their butts and expect everybody else to do so) then sure, we can have that as the topic.

Ha! Turns out that Sir Xaris and Argon were both wrong!

Argon, I want you to remember this "secret word:" T.E.A.M. Otherwise known as Cebrion & Mystic Scholar!

Mwahahahahahahaha!

But! I must share some of the blame, I suppose.

Sir Xaris, I was under the impression that everyone knew -- Cebrion often "takes a vote" to see what any possible contributors want to write about.

And, as he said above, right now he's of two minds. Shocked

He hasn't taken his vote yet. And he's taking suggestions! So, what do you want to write about -- young scholar? Wink

MS,

I knew about the pole and spoke to Cebrion on this a while back. However, at that time it was not yet decided.

I was going to ask if you were aware of the 'Edit' button, but it appears to have disappeared! Shocked Did I just imagine it? Confused

As to the question of topic: Forgotten/Hidden Kingdoms of Oerth sounds like a fine topic to me, though I would be happy with just about any topic except psionics.

If I wrote an article on psionics in Greyhawk, I'd probably have the ground open up and enormous tentacles made of shadow stuff reach out and grasp every psionically endowed individual in the Flanaess in their soul-sapping grip and drag said individuals through the Abyss into the void to be utterly destroyed... Unless R. A. Salvatore has already thought of that. Then I'd have to come up with an even more certain end to psionics in the World of Greyhawk! Evil

Sir Xaris,

This forum does not have a edit button. Psionic's are fine but I call them psychic's. To each his own. Though Cebrion knows how many articles the postfest used to dredge up a lot more articles. So a topic like forgotten/hidden kingdoms might be popular. But will it get more people to submit an article? That is the question.

Sure it does. Do you know how screwed I would be without an edit button? Ever since playing FPS's, my finger positioning on the keyboard has been completely messed up(whaddya mean you can't spell most words with W, A, S, and D?). Laughing

I'll look into it on Thursday, when I can use somebody without moderator/admin access(perhaps yourself) as a guinea pig. Might be a simple settings fix.

Every post should have an edit feature at the top of each post. The buttons that may be visible, from left to right, are as follows:

[QUOTE][EDIT][X][IP]

At the bottom of each post, from left to right, should be the following buttons:

[PROFILE][PM][EMAIL][IM]

Most people should be able to always see the following buttons:

[QUOTE][EDIT][PROFILE][PM]

If somebody makes various forms of contact available, or a link to a personal website, you may also see any or all of the following buttons at the bottom of each of their posts:

[EMAIL][ICQ][IM][MSN][WWW]

The other buttons are moderator/admin tools for the most part, so likely only we(and a few others) will see them.

Looks like it was an obscure setting on this forum. We found it and fixed. Only admins got those buttons for some reason, so I can understand why we couldn't see the problem. But it should be fixed.
If you notice it on another forum, let us know.

We aim to please. Wink

If you fellows want me to start applying a little pressure to get the Postfest started, you need to start coming up with ideas of what you want to write about, so that we can begin a poll and get a "winner."

So, any ideas? Confused

Well forbidden lost kingdoms of Oerth can include Beyond the Flanaess. But I say we throw psionic's of Greyhawk as well combine it all and see what kind of turn out we get sort of an annual Post Super-Fest!

It's an open call let it roll!

That's my two cents!

Argon, let me know when and what the next Postfest is, and I'll put it on the OJ blog. If you decide RIGHT NOW, it'll get mentioned next to the OJ 26 is here announcement, which should garner some eyeballs. (and eyerolls).

Nellisir,

Thanks but I have no say in when the next post-fest will begin. I believe Cebrion still has that distinction.

While I'm certainly the least qualified to submit an idea on the topic (as I am STILL working my submission inn after an unplanned hiatus) but I will none the less toss this into the proverbial ring...
A re-birth of the Ecology of series maybe? with a Greyhawk flavor?

Put together a poll of the losers from the last few polls. Or if one entry kept reappearing, just go with that.

When the time comes, I'd like to put forth a write-in candidate of a specific city.

Perhaps, if we have enough contributors, and perhaps yet again, that we have a cartoghapher's contribution...

We may have the making of a city in the flanaess that has not yet been detailed enough for current easy use in our home campaigns, but is now ready for utilization.

Perhaps... Cool
