Just thought I would formally introduce myself.
Been playing DnD since the fall of '79. Will turn 46 this summer.
I collect all 1ed and 2ed stuff as well as any Greyhawk materials I can find. Collect some FR stuff but GH is my favorite.
Prefer to play 1ed and 2ed but like 3.5 and pathfinder. Also played Fantasy hero in the early 90's. The people you play with matter more then the Edition used.
Die hard half-elf magic-user, druid and thief fan. Highest level I ever got in either 1ed or 2ed was 12th level.
Prefer role playing over detailed combat style systems or campaigns. Though I do enjoy and epic battle from time to time.
Love the GDQ series, Slavers and ToEE series. Ran all three series several times. Fan of Dungeon magazine and have the first 100 issues. Fan of all Gygax's Early stuff with TSR including the Gord series.
I live in the DC area but starting playing in the tidewater Virginia area.
I also play Star Fleet Battles.

Ah, Star Fleet Battles what a fun game. Don't let that Romulan player tell you that plasma torpedoes have unlimited range! I was getting pummelled until I remember my ST trivia.

Welcome aboard, Gordin! Shall we call you "Gord" for short? Yes, pretty bad, but I said it anyways!
D&D and SFB. Good combination. So good in fact that the old game club at one of my haunts, Brookhurst Hobbies, was called the "Photons & Fireballs" game club".
Eventually, as with so many game clubs, M:tG came along and wrecked most of the "photons" and "fireballs" aspects of the club. Then came WoW for the dagger to the heart.
I believe that remnants of the club still exist, and if you listen very closely, you can still hear the echoing cries of
KHAN!...KHAN!...KHAN!...KHAN!...KHAN!...KHAN!... _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -
