Campaigning within The Duchy of Ulek can lead to multiple types of adventures, including combative, financial, investigative, or discovery. This area allows for adventuring opportunities in a realm based in a Demi-human culture; in this case, High Elves of the Flanaess. The lands of the Duchy will remain fairly stable not withstanding timeframe of your Campaign (pre-Greyhawk Wars, post-Greyhawk Wars, and alternate timelines). In addition, the realm borders long standing lands such as Keoland, Gran March and the County of Ulek; so trade routes along the Sheldomar River and mountain passes through the Lortmil Mountains to Celene and the Kron Hills will hold importance. There is plenty of room for story development as your adventuring continues into a full-fledged Campaign setting.

-Working on behalf of the Duke of Ulek to combat banditry and keep trade routes to Celene, Keoland, and the Kron Hills clear, including the Silver Path, the Ulek Pass, and the Celene Pass.

Postcard: Duchy of Ulek
One of the Ulek States, former subjects of Keoland, ruled by an elven sovereign. Duchy, lies between the Kewl and Sheldomar Rivers. Possesses significant mineral wealth, trade benefits from the honest reputation of its half-elven merchant houses. Famed for the harmonious relationship, amongst its citizens. Its human heavy cavalry and billmen, complemented by elven archers, and a smattering of gnomes from the Kron Hills.
Onset of the Greyhawk Wars, volunteers marched forth. However; Despot Turrosh Mak, convinced the tribal shamans to reclaim their birthright in the Lortmils. Hurriedly raised levies, held the humanoids at bay. Knights of Luna; elven exiles whom strongly condemn the isolationist stance of Celene, have been welcomed by the nobles.
