Grebe, Viscounty of

Looking for any information about the Viscounty of Grebe in Keoland, a possible vassalage of House Linth. I know it borders between the Earldom of Linth and the March of Blerfield but that's about it. Is it a part of the Earldom? Who runs it?

I found a reference to it on Anna Meyer's map.

Please help. Thank you all.

Hi Skech. Never having heard of it, I looked to Gary Holian's article on and map of Keoland in Living Greyhawk Journal #1 and found no mention of it.

However, the Earldom of Linth is described as "an old province dating back to the founding of the kingdom" with a population of primarily Oeridian descent, ruled by "the House of Linth, an obscure Suel house generally considered to be in decline." Id. at 19.

As for the March of Blerfield, it's one of the "so-called Western Marches of the kingdom" that "were primarily settled by Oeridian tribes who migrated south from the Fals Gap into the Sheldomar Valley[,] where they joined with the migrating Suel houses . . . to form the core of the Kingdom of Keoland." Id. at 14.

Finally, a glebe "is an area of land within an ecclesiastical parish used to support a parish priest. The land may be owned by the church, or its profits may be reserved to the church." Glebe, Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glebe.

So, unless provides another source (maybe a Living Greyhawk module?), I suggest making it be a religiously thematic minor holding with an Oeridian or Suel faith that you want to explore in your campaign.

Former Living Greyhawk Keoland Triad here and I don't remember anything ever referencing Grebe. So you have a clean slate to do what you want.

Anna has some of her “Meyerhawk” homebrew materials in her maps, which I think are also called out in a distinct layer too.

You can always ask her directly or tag her in the FB Flanaess Geographical Sociery group, at https://www.facebook.com/share/ciu62sxbcFQPFPKv/?mibextid=adzO7l

We discussed this on Jay’s show tonight, and Anna confirmed that Grebe is from LG scenarios.

I found a "Linth Primer" online

https://www.scribd.com/document/242241388/Earldom-of-Linth-PC-Primer

It contained the info I needed.

Thanks to all for your help.
